First YouTube user Levinator 25 posts a video of a "glitch" he found in Electronic Arts' Tiger Woods PGA Tour '08. Tiger Woods walks out "onto" a water hazard and hits a brilliant shot from a lilly pad.
Then one year later, almost to the day, EA posts a video of Tiger Woods actually doing the "Jesus Shot" in person.
AdFreak is all over it, as are some other Internet people. Is this a clever "viral" marketing campaign from EA Sports? Maybe, maybe not. Although the next game in the series happens to come out in three days, it seems pretty unlikely that EA has been planning this two YouTube video campaign for their '09 release since before '08 hit the stores.
