Hydrox is the original chocolate sandwich cookie brand. It's also the second worst-branded product ever, right behind Coca-Cola II. Perhaps naming the cookies after theHydrogen+Oxygen = Creme Filled Chocolate Sandwich Cookie.
chemical elements of pure water sounded like a great idea in 1908—when the cookies were also used as a remedy for snake bites and venereal disease—but the poorly-named cookie couldn't compete with rival Oreo and was pulled from store shelves in 2003.
And now, Hydrox is making a comeback. Kellogg is manufacturing the cookie again in celebration of its 100th anniversary. They've even put up the Internet's most functional website.
