Three gay rights organizations condemned the commercial as homophobic, arguing that the men's reaction (they tear out their chest hair to prove they're really "manly") demeans gay men.

When Mars ran its "Man Kiss" Snickers ad during the 2007 Superbowl, it hastily pulled the commercial and related web material after it received complaints from three different gay rights organizations. However, it seems that MGMT—nope, not that popular band, just the regular old MGMT at Mars Inc.—grew some balls and is bringing the whole theme back, at least in the UK. These new Mr. T spots are B.A.!
