Those beverage industry guys can play real dirty sometimes. Just as Budweiser "The Great American Lager" fans recover from the recent sale of the "The Great American" beer brand to Belgian industry giants InBev, some ruthless admen from Y&R Irvine come out with a whole campaign for Costa Rica's Imperial beer calling out Budweiser H-A-R-D. I mean, you can't really blame the Anheuser-Busch boys for taking the 52 billion dollar takeover/sellout unsolicited bid, but hostile ads that say "Not Brewed in a Factory in Downtown St. Louis Since 1924" really have to tug at the heartstrings of those fiercely loyal Gateway City guys. Now they're definitely singing the blues.
